Welcome to Alvaro's Charming Loft! Our modern space in Gaia offers the perfect balance between the peace of a residential neighborhood and the vibrant energy of Porto. Just a 5-minute walk from the iconic Luís I Bridge and Jardim do Morro, you will have the famous wine cellars and the metro at your doorstep. With air conditioning and cozy wooden decor, it is the ideal retreat to explore the city with total comfort and the convenience of having supermarkets and transport within reach.

The space

Our loft stands out for the natural light from its three large windows and the use of natural materials that create a very pleasant atmosphere. On the lower floor, the living room invites you to relax with a TV, perfect after a day of sightseeing. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who prefer to cook at home, including utensils and a dishwasher for your total convenience.

On the upper floor, you will find a spacious bedroom with two double beds separated by a privacy screen. Please note that, due to the building's charming architecture, the ceiling is sloped and lower on one side. The bathroom is modern and functional, and although we do not have a washing machine inside the unit, there are several self-service laundries very close by. The air conditioning ensures the perfect temperature in any season, whether in the winter or during the height of summer.

The neighbourhood

You will stay where the locals live, in a quiet and safe street but just a step away from everything. In just 10 minutes walking downhill, you will reach the Gaia riverside and its historic wine cellars. The neighborhood features excellent bakeries for breakfast, supermarkets, and authentic restaurants. The proximity to the General Torres and Câmara de Gaia metro stations allows you to cross the river and reach Porto's historic center in just two stops.

House rules

- Stays of unaccompanied minors are not allowed.
- Subscribing to channels not included in the TV package will incur an additional charge for the corresponding service;
- In case of non-return of the keys, a fee of €100 will be charged for each pair of keys.
-If during your stay you leave the keys inside the house, an extra fee will be charged according to the following schedule: weekdays between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM: €50; other days/times: €100.
- We promote the sustainable use of resources: excessive consumption may be charged;
- The facilities can only be used by registered guests;
- Cleaning can be provided during your stay for an extra cost of €50.
- We do not accept large animals. Only 1 animal per booking. To avoid noise and/or damage, animals cannot be left unattended in the apartment. Owners must ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the apartment and building.
- Garbage must be deposited in the bin;
- The property allows self check-in; however, after 10:00 PM we are unable to provide support upon arrival;
- If you choose an in-person check-in, it is important to provide your arrival time at least 48 hours in advance. If you do not arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled time, the host may need to leave and a new appointment will be required, subject to availability. Check-ins after 10:00 PM require prior confirmation and have an additional fee of €25;
- Failure to comply with the check-out time requires a payment of €25 for each hour of delay.
- Treat the house as if it were your own. Leave everything as you found it.

Guest access

Guests have exclusive access to all areas of the apartment during their stay.

Interaction with guests

We give our guests total autonomy, but we are always available to help and ensure a memorable stay. You will find a folder in the apartment with tourist information and local tips. You can contact us at any time to clarify any questions.

Other things to note

- It is important to note that the stairs to the bedroom are narrow and steep, so we recommend leaving heavy luggage on the lower floor; this space may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility
- Change of bed linens and towels for stays longer than 7 nights
-The sofa bed is only prepared when the number of guests exceeds the available bed capacity. If you wish to use it with fewer guests, an additional fee of 20€ will apply.
- It is possible to include an extra cleaning service during your stay (cost €50/stay)
- Stairs to go to the bedroom
- If you book for 4 or less people but want to use the fold-out bed/sofa in the living room, please let us know during the booking process so that we can arrange the necessary bed linen - the cost of extra sheets is 20 euros, payable on arrival. Otherwise, we will assume that you are staying in both double beds prepared.
- There is a digital house book with detailed rules about the property whose address is posted in the apartment.
- All guests must present a valid ID.
- A city tax is applied to all guests staying at properties located in Vila Nova de Gaia.
